What is Consensus Split?

Our consensus trackers monitor two primary data points across 10 major sportsbooks:

  • Bets % (Public) represents the total percentage of individual ticket slips placed on that team.
  • Money % (Sharps) represents the percentage of total dollars wagered. High money percentage on low ticket volume indicates large "sharp" wagers.

Expert Consensus Best Bets

HIGH CONFIDENCE 82% Consensus

Ravens ML

Moneyline +145

The Ravens enter this game with a highly refined running scheme anchored by Lamar Jackson. If Mahomes gets limited by defensive coverage, the +145 price offers huge value against the Chiefs' defense.

SHARP PLAY 76% Consensus

Eagles ML

Moneyline -125

Jalen Hurts has historically dominated in season openers, registering highly efficient passer ratings. Philadelphia's offensive line will neutralize Green Bay's pass rush.

TREND PLAY 70% Consensus

DAL/CLE Under 42.5

Game Total -110

Expect a defense-heavy game. Cleveland's home environment is historically low-scoring, and both defensive squads are top-tier in pressure rates.

NFL Odds & Betting FAQ

Learn how NFL betting markets work before placing a wager.

The point spread is the oddsmaker's way of creating an even matchup between two teams. The favorite must win by more than the spread number (e.g., -3 means they must win by 4 or more). The underdog can win straight up or lose by less than the spread number.
A starting quarterback represents the single largest points shift in sports betting. Swapping a top-tier quarterback (like Mahomes) for a backup can swing the spread by 4 to 8 points, lower the game's total points projection, and heavily adjust moneylines.
Buying points allows a bettor to adjust the point spread in their favor in exchange for paying more "juice" (lower odds payout). For example, moving a spread from +2.5 to +3.0 to protect against a field-goal margin.
A parlay combines multiple individual wagers into one single bet. All selections must win for the parlay to pay out. The payout multiplier is calculated by multiplying the decimal representation of the odds of each individual selection.
The vig (short for "vigorish"), also known as the juice, is the commission that a sportsbook charges for taking a bet. It is built directly into the odds (most commonly -110 for balanced point spreads or totals), requiring you to risk $110 to win $100.
A moneyline bet requires you to simply pick the outright winner of the game. A point spread bet involves a margin of victory, meaning the favorite must win by more than the specified points (e.g., -3), while the underdog can cover by losing by fewer than 3 points or winning the game outright.
